St. Simons Island is one of the Golden Isles of Georgia, along with Jekyll Island which I talked about in last week’s posts. St. Simons has quite a different atmosphere and has some beautiful luxury accommodations, both resorts and private homes on the beach.
This is the King and Prince Hotel which was founded in 1935 as a seaside dance club and later became a luxury beach and golf resort. I didn’t go inside the hotel, but from the outside is looks beautiful with a fantastic pool and rooms with amazing ocean views. It looks like there are some pretty good deals on their website too, I would stay there! This image shows only one small piece of the beachfront resort.
Just down the beach from the hotel is this building, which I believe is someone’s private home. Doesn’t it just look delux? I told Ray this is the house I want if we ever decide to settle into a house again!
Both of these images were made in High Dynamic Range by combining 3 hand-held exposures in Photomatix.

Oh! The blue skies of summer weather. That’s brightened my day. Beautiful skies and bright colours. Lovely!
