This past spring I decided I needed a change of scenery. To challenge myself photographically I looked for a place that was as different to home as possible. I travelled to a small town named Page in northern Arizona, population 9,000. It was home base for my photographic journey, which included Lake Powell, the Colorado River, the Grand Canyon and the best of all Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons.
The Antelope Canyons are a photographers dream. At the right time of day, when the sun is high in the sky and it is too hot and bright to photograph anywhere else, the canyons come alive with beams of light streaming through. With no horizon line, you can angle your camera up, down, vertical, horizonal, diagonal, any way you want and get amazing abstract patterns from the rock and the light.

Beautiful abstract images! It looks like your book from Blub came out really nice. Why don’t you enter a post about your experience with Blub? Carla
That’s a great idea Carla! I have actually ordered stuff from a variety of places to compare products and print quality, so maybe I’ll create a post about my experience with all of them. Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting! I really appreciate it.
Anne, I’m a bit late to this party, but I finally had a chance to look at your Antelope Canyon images – they’re really wonderful! I’ll be there in a few months, helping another photographer do a workshop in the Canyons, and I hope to come home with images half as magical as yours! Be well! ~karen
Hi Karen. Oh, that seems so long ago! It was 2009 I went there, I wasn’t even shooting in raw then! I would love to go back and explore of the other canyons in the area. Have a great time and I wish you good light.
