Have you ever learned something and felt like everyone else in the world surely knows about it, yet somehow you missed the memo? Well that happened to me today when I learned about TED, a non-profit organization that shares webcasts dedicated to “ideas worth spreading”.
I was introduced to this via John Paul Caponigro’s blog where he posts a thought provoking video about measuring what makes life worthwhile. We tend to measure our success or value based on things that are easy to measure, like income, the size of our house or our age for example. Whereas the things we value most in life, like love, happiness, friendship and creativity are more difficult to measure and therefore we do not measure them.
What about a business model based on happiness? Interesting…
how are you! This was a really marvelous post!
I come from milan, I was luck to find your subject in baidu
Also I learn a lot in your subject really thanks very much i will come later
This reminds me of the story out of Bhutan that the king (and government?) promotes the concept of measuring his country’s ‘success’ in terms of Gross Domestic Happiness. Thanks, Anne.
