Moving day has finally arrived. I can feel my shoulders relaxing a little knowing that all the big decisions have been made and we’re another step closer to leaving. I just hope it all fits! Everything we are keeping must fit in a 9×9 foot storage room. The only furniture we are keeping is a sofa, a lazy-boy, a piano and a BBQ. Everything else has been sold, given away, or thrown away.
My art work, sweaters my mom made me, a wide-screen TV and its stand are going to my parents house. I know I’m never getting that 50″ TV back once my Dad watches hockey on it.
Storing your stuff for a year is much more difficult than simply moving when you just pack up everything. Every item I own has been held up, it’s value considered, it’s future determined.
Good luck with moving, Anne!
I feel such excitement for you 🙂 I know a transition this large is never easy, but it will soon be a distant memory Anne!
I have previously worked as a mover, and moved many times – it is not always a very relaxing time. Hope your moving day goes problem free.
I’ll bet you had more than one volunteer to babysit that big TV especially since the Canucks are still in the playoffs! 🙂
