Driving into Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, I couldn’t help but notice the signs for boat tours to see the puffins. I immediately dreamed of having photos of clown like puffins in my portfolio, close-ups, maybe with some mackerel in their beaks.
Well, I did get a couple of puffin photos, but they are more like proof than art! Being the end of the season, there were only a few that hadn’t left for winter at sea. Nevertheless, I always enjoy a boat trip and always find these trips are worth the money even if you don’t see promised wildlife.
I got these photos of a bald eagle and some seals. Who would think I would travel across the country and capture a bald eagle and some seals? Oh well, I’ll take what I can get.
Really nice images Anne. I especially like the first one. Great action shot.
Thanks Len!
All terrific shots but I love the first one Anne. What a great capture.
Thank you Edith!
Hello there to you both. I too love the first photo of the eagle. We spent some time in Rocky Harbour & enjoyed it. Saw many massive icebergs at St. Anthony’s Bight, 100-200 puffins on Bird Island off Elliston two weeks ago but unlike you, my photos are proof. We are now at Grand Codroy campsight & after a month on Nl. we leave tomorrow. Happy trails to you both. Barb & Daryl.
Hi Barb and Daryl! Great to see you here. Thanks for stopping by the blog and leaving comments. We really enjoyed meeting you on Prince Edward Island. Who would think we would come all that way and bump into friends of Ray’s parents? Small world. We are in Rocky Harbour now (Green Point actually – who knew they have awesome wifi in the national park campsite?). Glad you saw the puffins and icebergs. Have a safe trip back home and don’t rush to get there too fast 🙂
