Nova Scotia has the tiniest little lighthouses! I’m not sure why, there is certainly some rugged shore here. Maybe it is just the age of them and that’s how they made them then. So cute!
I made this image from the small town of Baddeck, Nova Scotia, on a day with threatening clouds which added drama to the sky. Lighthouses always look so much more important with a dramatic sky. Even tiny ones.
Just an awesome shot Anne! I wonder if people still life in that lighthouse.
Hi Chris, glad you like the shot. I’m not sure if anyone still lives there. The lighthouse is on a little island in the bay and there is a harbour ferry you can take to visit the island.
No one lives there. The lighthouse has survived much neglect.

I grew up in Baddeck and learn photography there, good capture of that rare lighting
Very nice! Is the lighthouse open to the public?
Hi Marc, Thanks for your comment! I’m not sure if it was open to the public actually.
Absolutely top drawer shot here, Anne!
That’s very kind of you Toad, thanks!
Fantastic shot Anne. The clouds are amazing and your composition is spot on.
Thank you very much Edith, I always appreciate your kind comments.
Nice processing. Those clouds are outstanding!
Thank you Marc. I used Topaz Adjust to bring out the details in the clouds.
What a nice scene this is, Anne. I really like the soft colors and of course, that awesome sky. 🙂 You’ve done an excellent job here.
Thank you very much Jimi, that means a great deal to me since I am a big fan of your photography.
