Jekyll Island is one of the “Golden Isles of Georgia” which is a group of four barrier islands that run along Georgia’s coast. Some of the islands have elite resorts and fabulous mansions owned by the wealthy. Of the four islands, Jekyll is the least expensive to live on. The land on the island is owned by the State of Georgia but residents have long-term leases.
Today I have for you one of my favourite images from Driftwood Beach. I have so many of these it is going to take me awhile to process them all.
Yup I think I have to agree with you. This one is my favorite as well. Just stunning Anne.
Thank you Edith! I knew when I first sat back to take in the final image it would be one of my favourites from Georgia. Maybe one of my favourites from the whole trip so far.
Exquisite, Anne.
You are too kind Mim!
Oh you have nailed this one Anne! Absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks Curt!
Agree with the previous comments. This is exceptional! Definitely one I can see people wanting to hang on their wall.
Hi Sharon, thank you so much for your kind comments. And if you want one for your wall let me know 🙂
What a tremendous find this is. Like a mighty antler from a reindeer. and a simple uncluttered background of your usual luminous colors.
Thank you Andy. I recently started using Nik Color Efex which is awesome for adjusting colours. I like your comparison with the reindeer antler!
That is so beautiful Anne! and that is in the neck of my area too.
Thank yo Jesse, you live in such a beautiful part of the world. So lucky…
Anne, I really like the juxtaposition between the smooth sand/sky/water with the craggy shape of the tree! Did you make this photo late in the afternoon?
Hi Henry, I forgot to update the clock on my camera so the time in the exif data is out by a couple of hours. I made it right around sunset (facing east).
Wow Anne this is some location. The soft light and colors coupled with the subject are outstanding.
Hi Len, it was an amazing location. I hope you visit there someday so I can admire your images from the area, I would love to see what you would do with it. Thank you so much for your comments.
Gorgeous!
Thanks again Kris.
