One of my favourite places in Strathcona Park on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, was Lower Myra Falls. The hike is about 1 kilometer from the parking area and it leads to a stunning group of cascades deep within the forest above Buttle Lake.
I could spend all day photographing falls like these that have such variety from numerous small falls above crystal clear emerald pools to large gushing falls. For some reason the act of getting all prepared and rushing in to take the shot before my camera and filters got covered with spray is so much fun for me!

More images from Lower Myra Falls will be on the blog tomorrow.
Love the pictures of Myra Falls Anne. My mothers name was Myra, so special meaning to me.
These are lovely anne. I really need to get out to Vancouver.
Anne, the rush of that water is awesome. You captured it to perfection. Very nicely done!
This is an awsome place!
I think your long exposure water+rocks pictures are just the best! =)
Thank you very much Lanna, I appreciate that 🙂
Have wanted to go to Strathcona and your photos make it more urgent! The fall is delightful while the spring is exciting. Thanks for urging me on to go soon. Also I look forward to your Iceland photos and comments; its also on my bucket list.
