I got up in darkness, quickly dressed and gathered my equipment. I’m glad people who stay in RV parks are used to the sound of big trucks starting early in the morning for no one ever comments on my early departures. I drove to the beach and then walked as quickly as I could to the location I scouted out the day before when the sun was high in the sky, its harsh rays washing out all colour.
What a difference it made to be there early in the morning when the sun was just rising above the horizon. The soft light touched the tips of the tree branches making them glow as if they were on fire.
I made this image on Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island, Georgia.
A beautiful shot. The colors are perfect.
Thank you very much Kris!
What a gorgeous photo, love it
Thank you very much Susan, I appreciate that!
Beautiful shot, Anne. It makes getting up early easier when you can come home with a shot like that! I know it does for me.
Hi Fred, I don’t know, I still find it hard to get up early ๐ I always lay there wondering if it will be worth it even though I know it always is. Thanks for the compliment!
What a divine capture in the morning!!
Good shot, Anne.

Hi Len, thank you! It was a really special place.
Marvelous shot for sure. The light, the color- everything matches so perfectly.
