I must have had textures on my mind as I strolled through the historic district of Newport, Oregon, this week.
This collection of old buoys caught my attention.

We have driven through Newport many times but never stopped because it is always so busy in the summer months. Being November this time it was much different with hardly any people at all.
We wanted to buy a new set of tires for the truck while in sales-tax-free Oregon so the stop gave us an extra few hours to explore the historic district.
Great play on words in addition to a wonderfully detailed image Anne.
Thank you very much Len!

Thank you very much for your kind comments Jofiane π
I’ll admit I groaned at the pun… π
Hah, well that makes my day then π thanks Kris!
Nice Anne. Amazing what you can find on a wharf.
Hi Joe, it’s true you find the most unique stuff to photograph on the waterfront. Thanks for your comments!
Gorgeous image, Anne! I love the colours and textures – and of course I’m (like you) a sucker for all things nautical!
I figured you would like this one Laurie! Thanks for your comments.
Fabulous colours. It must have been tricky deciding how to frame this, but it looks to me as if you did a good job – this hold together really well, Anne.
Thank you very much Andy. The framing was a little difficult with the other stuff going on behind the buoys so I decided to get in close and fill the frame with the buoys so there was nothing left to distract the viewer.
This is a beautiful image.
Thank you so much Lisa, I appreciate it.
