After the series of images I showed you in my last post from Mesquite Sand Dunes in Death Valley National Park, the sun dipped behind the nearby mountains and the colour of the dunes totally changed.
The golden glow disappeared as the sky turned pale pink and blue and the dunes began to reflect the soft pastel shades.

I like to play with dramatic over-the-top post-processing sometimes for fun! This is a version of an image that is very similar to the one above, except processed with Topaz B&W Effects. This is one of the more stylized presets called Chamoisee Cyan Dynamic.

I just love that first image Anne. Killer
Thank you so much Len!
Both are wonderful. But I am drawn more to the quiet nearly abstract drama of the stylized second image.
Thank you Glen! I know the more stylized images are not for everyone but I’m glad you like it.
you’re a painter Anne 😉
Many thanks Kaz, I appreciate that!
wonderful capture Anne. Like the dramatic effect in the second image.
Many thanks Anupama, I appreciate your visit and comments.
The clarity in the first image, despite what must have been low light values, is remarkable. Always a pleasure to see your work, Anne.
Nice to see you playing with some of the more wacky filters – I thought it was only me who did crazy (sorry, Fun!) things like that!
Wacky filters are tons of fun to play with! Sometimes the results are too outrageous but I find the more I play the more I find styles that I really enjoy. Thanks for your visit and comments Andy.
While the second image is very cool I absolutely love the first image.
Thank you so much Edith, your comments are always appreciated!
I love the first image best.
Your soft light is wonderful and I totally am enjoying your fine composition.
That bush in the left corner works fabulously to pull us right into your image and through that excellent pastel sky.
I will be back to see more of your work.
Hi Spencer, thank you very much for your visit and comments, much appreciated!
