One thing that caught me by surprise when I visited Africa was realizing that everything is covered in bones!
I mean, of course it is (duh) I just didn’t think of it until I saw it.
Since I’m committed to only photographing beautiful things, I didn’t photograph many of the bones. Also because we weren’t allowed out of the jeep very often and the top down perspective isn’t very interesting.
At one place where we stopped, there were no lions in the area, which meant we could get out and stretch our legs a bit and I found these wonderfully preserved buffalo horns.
I think they qualify as beautiful…
Simple subject brillantly composed and executed. Thanks for sharing it.
Incredible shot. It brings you back to the basics of nature and the cycle of life
Hi,
Couldn’t contact you via email? I came across your page while looking for reverse graduated neutral density filters. Funny. I was intrigued about changing your career path. Was it worth? Do you like it? What have you discovered? Best, wherever you are, Anne.
Hi MS, there is a contact button at the top of the page. Yes, changing careers was absolutely worth it!!!!! What did I learn? Everything I think! You can read about some of it here: http://annemckinnell.com/2012/08/01/8-lessons-from-life-on-the-road/ Thanks for taking the time to comment.
