Sometimes I don’t have to go far to find these gorgeous spots, but that’s because we travel in the RV and park in beautiful places! These cacti were our neighbours just behind our campsite in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Arizona.

To make this image, I positioned myself so that the sun would set behind an organ pipe cactus. Then I used a very small aperture of f/22 and waited until the sun just kissed the horizon to create the sunburst.
Beautiful image. It was a good way to start my day, even though it is a sunset image. 🙂
Love this photo. Thank you for explaining how you took this. I may try it too when we get our sun back in AZ. We’ve been having a round of thunderstorms.
To be able to make a wonderful image such as this by simply walking behind your campsite is cheating somehow, I’m sure of it! 😉
