Happy New Year everyone! It’s that time of year when I like to take a look back at my photography from the previous year and pick out my top 10 lists. I do one for landscapes and one for wildlife – otherwise it would be way too hard!
I had a great year last year with some outstanding sunsets in the American Southwest during my snowbird trip early in the year, some excellent boating during the summer (results will be in the wildlife photos), followed by my amazing trip to Iceland in the fall. I made some good friends and lots of memories along the way too.
I am always so far behind in my processing that often my top 10 list contenders are only the photos I have processed so far. I actually have tons from 2015 that I haven’t started yet and others I haven’t published yet, including some of my favourites from my trip to Iceland.
So these are my favourite 10 landscape photos of 2015 in the order I made them.
1. Salton Sea Sunset
The world cannot be all bad when there are moments like these! I made this image at the Salton Sea, California.

2. Southwest Sunset
Another amazing desert sunset. I made this image at the Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Range near Ajo, Arizona.

3. Organ Pipe Cactus Sunburst
I made this photo right in our campsite at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Arizona. You gotta love it when you don’t have to go far for a photo like this.

4. Spider Rock
I didn’t know that the setting sun was going to light up the rock in the background like that! Aren’t surprises wonderful? I made this image at Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Arizona.

5. Trona Pinnacles
This is my favourite new boondocking spot from 2015. There were a few visitors during the day, but only a couple of other campers. Great spot for some serious time in the wild.

6. Sun Voyager
This was the subject I chose for my first photo shoot in Reykjavik, Iceland.

7. Kirkjufellsfoss
My first Icelandic waterfall! I could spend days at this location. Hmmm… I might just do that sometime.

8. Arch Rock
Gatklettur, or Arch Rock, in Arnarstapi, Iceland.

9. White House
I made this photo very close to the previous one, in the fishing village at Arnastapi, Iceland.

10. Jewel on the Black Sand Beach
This is the photo I dreamed of making during my trip to Iceland. An iceberg on the black sand beach near Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon, Iceland

I follow you but rarely comment Anne. I find your photography stunning, but I’m also interested in your lifestyle. We are currently rv’ing for the first time long term, and your stories and travels are of great interest to me as well as inspiring. I always look forward to your posts, and you never disappoint.
