Butchart Texture Collection
Butchart Gardens, in Victoria, British Columbia (where I used to live before becoming a nomad) is the location of one of the most incredible land reclamation projects in the world. It was once a limestone quarry and cement plant. Once the limestone was exhausted, Mrs. Butchart embarked on an ambitious plan to transform the land into a sunken garden. The topsoil was brought in by horse and cart!
Today, and for the last hundred years, Butchart Gardens is a stunning sight to behold and the spring colours of its many flowers inspired this texture collection.
The Butchart Texture Collection is a hand-painted collection that you can use as an overlay to add soft colours and dramatic details to your photographs. This collection is also beautiful to use as a background. If you extract your subject from its background and place it on top of one of these textures, your image will have a lovely spring look.
You can use these textures many different ways. For help getting started, see my How to Use Textures tutorial and video demonstration.
This collection contains 10 high resolution textures, 6000 x 4000 pixels, 300 dpi, in JPEG format.
