One of the best things about Acadia National Park in Maine is its network of carriage roads. These roads are open to pedestrians and bicyclists as well as horse drawn carriages. They provide a convenient way of seeing the park's highlights without fighting automobile traffic. We sure enjoyed our summer in the Maritime provinces in Canada. New Brunswick was the most unexpected.
